Mac Noodle Privacy Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026. Solvepao Research provides Mac Noodle. Contact contact@solvepao.com for privacy questions.
Local files and folder access
Storage scanning, file-size analysis and cleanup run on your Mac. You choose Home, Applications and additional folders through standard macOS access panels. Applications is read-only. Cleanup moves reviewed items to Trash. File contents, filenames, scan results and cleanup history are not uploaded for remote analysis. Folder-access bookmarks, settings and cleanup history are stored locally. Manage grants in Settings > Privacy & Permissions.
App Store purchases
The Mac App Store and TestFlight editions use Apple StoreKit for products, subscriptions, verified entitlement status and restoration. They do not require a Vending Machine account, license key, website activation or external checkout. Apple handles payment and Apple Account information. We do not receive payment-card details from StoreKit.
Optional CloudKit diagnostics
Starting with App Store build 82, app-generated diagnostics are off by default, including when upgrading from build 80. Accepting the user agreement does not enable diagnostics. You can separately enable them during setup or in Settings > Privacy & Permissions. You can turn them off there at any time without losing scanning, cleanup, purchases or restoration. Turning them off stops new uploads; an upload already sent to Apple may finish. No diagnostics are queued for later upload while disabled.
Build 80 attempted diagnostic uploads after agreement acceptance and did not have a separate diagnostics switch. The controls above apply to build 82 and later.
If enabled, diagnostic records use Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. An available iCloud account is required and storage counts toward your iCloud quota. Other app users cannot read these records. Solvepao Research cannot browse users’ private databases through Apple’s developer console. CloudKit failures do not block core features or change purchase access.
Diagnostic fields and purposes
Launch records contain a random installation identifier, first/last launch dates, launch count, app version/build, macOS version, hardware model/architecture, processor counts, memory capacity, locale country/language and time zone. Country comes from locale, not GPS; the app does not request location permission for this purpose. Error records contain the installation identifier, timestamp, app/macOS versions, operation context and a length-limited error message with the Home path and recognized path-like strings removed.
These records support operational diagnostics and reliability. They are not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, remote file analysis or entitlement decisions. The record fields do not include file contents, scan/disk-space results, full device serials, passwords, payment credentials, StoreKit signed transactions, or Vending Machine keys or sessions. A persistent installation identifier is pseudonymous, rather than a promise of complete anonymity.
Retention, withdrawal and data requests
Diagnostic records have no automatic expiration schedule. Turning diagnostics off or uninstalling does not erase records already in iCloud. You can withdraw consent to future diagnostics with the Settings switch in build 82 and later. For access, correction, export or deletion requests, contact us privately at contact@solvepao.com. We may need your participation because the records are in your private iCloud database. Use the iCloud data/storage controls available for your account; do not send your Apple Account password or device serial number. Build 80 users can update to build 82 or later to obtain the switch.
Apple services and other providers
Apple provides StoreKit, the App Store, TestFlight and iCloud/CloudKit under its privacy policy. Apple’s own operating-system/App Store analytics are separate and follow your applicable Apple sharing settings; those settings are not the Mac Noodle CloudKit switch. The app does not use AI or an advertising analytics SDK to analyze files.
This product website is hosted with Cloudflare. Web requests necessarily expose connection/request information to hosting infrastructure. Opening support, sponsor or other external links connects to those sites under their own privacy practices. A support request shares the contact details and information you send. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle your request and applicable obligations. Avoid sensitive attachments or unredacted credentials and identifiers.
Direct-download editions
Direct-download editions may use the separate Vending Machine account and device-bound licensing service, and their configured software-update provider. Those licensing-service practices are described in the Vending Machine Privacy Policy. They do not describe the App Store edition’s purchase flow. The local-processing and optional CloudKit diagnostics disclosures above also apply to direct editions containing those features.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when processing changes. Your applicable privacy rights are not waived by the user agreement. Contact contact@solvepao.com for help or privacy requests.
